Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to Research and Evidence on Knowledge in Administration and Management — Medical Electronic Data and Information Systems (REKAM MEDIS) will undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and academic integrity of the published articles.

  1. Initial Screening
Every manuscript received will first be reviewed by the editorial team to assess its suitability with the journal’s focus and scope, adherence to author guidelines, and compliance with publication ethics. Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria will be returned to the author for revision or rejected at this stage.

  2. Similarity Check
The manuscript will be checked using Turnitin or equivalent plagiarism detection software to ensure that the similarity index does not exceed the journal’s maximum limit of 25%. Manuscripts exceeding this threshold will be returned to the author for revision before proceeding to the next stage.

  3. Double-Blind Peer Review
Eligible manuscripts are then sent to two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field. The review process follows a double-blind policy, where both the author and reviewers remain anonymous to each other. Reviewers will assess the manuscript’s scientific merit, originality, clarity, and relevance to the journal’s focus.

  4. Reviewer Recommendations
Reviewers may provide one of the following recommendations:

    • Accepted without revision

    • Accepted with minor revisions

    • Revisions required (major)

    • Rejected

Authors are required to revise the manuscript according to the reviewers’ comments and resubmit it within the specified time.

  5. Editorial Decision
The final decision to accept or reject a manuscript rests with the Editor-in-Chief, based on reviewers’ recommendations and the manuscript’s overall quality and contribution to the field.

  6. Final Proof and Publication
After acceptance, the manuscript undergoes final proofreading, layout, and formatting before publication in the upcoming issue (May or November). The editorial team ensures that the final version meets the journal’s publication standards.
