Correction and Retraction Policy for Journal of Health Service Administration and Hospital Management (LACERI):

Journal of Health Service Administration and Hospital Management (LACERI) is committed to maintaining the integrity, transparency, and accuracy of the scholarly record. Corrections and retractions are managed in accordance with the guidelines and recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

1. Correction

  • Corrections are issued when minor errors are identified in a published article, such as typographical mistakes, inaccuracies in data presentation, author information errors, or other issues that may mislead readers but do not affect the validity of the research findings or the main conclusions of the article.
  • Correction requests may be submitted by authors, readers, reviewers, or editors after publication.
  • Following verification by the editorial team, the journal will publish an official correction notice that is permanently linked to the original article to ensure transparency and maintain the accuracy of the scientific record.
  • The purpose of a correction is to amend the scholarly record while preserving the integrity and reliability of the published research.

2. Retraction

  • Retraction of an article may occur when significant errors affecting the validity, reliability, or integrity of the research are identified, or when ethical misconduct is confirmed, including plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, duplicate publication, or unethical research practices.
  • The retraction process follows the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and may involve consultation with authors, reviewers, editorial board members, and relevant institutions when necessary.
  • Retraction notices will be published promptly, clearly stating the reasons for retraction and providing a permanent link to the original article.
  • Retracted articles will remain available online with a clear retraction notice to preserve the scholarly record, ensure transparency, and maintain academic integrity.

3. Handling Procedure

  • Potential errors, concerns, or ethical violations may be reported by any party, including authors, readers, reviewers, editors, or institutions.
  • The editorial team will conduct an initial assessment and may request additional information, documentation, or clarification from the authors and other relevant parties.
  • If the concern is substantiated, the journal will determine the appropriate course of action, which may include correction, expression of concern, retraction, or other editorial measures depending on the nature and severity of the issue.
  • In cases involving disputes or unresolved disagreements, the journal will follow COPE recommendations to ensure a fair, objective, and transparent resolution process.
