Manuscript Withdrawal

Manuscript Withdrawal Policy – Journal of Health Service Administration and Hospital Management (LACERI)

Authors are strongly discouraged from withdrawing manuscripts after submission, as the editorial and peer-review process requires substantial time, effort, and resources from editors, reviewers, and journal staff.

Authors who wish to withdraw a manuscript must submit a formal written request to the editorial office, clearly stating the reasons for the withdrawal. Withdrawal requests will be reviewed and processed in accordance with the journal’s editorial policies.

  • Before peer review: Withdrawal is generally permitted upon receipt of a formal request from the corresponding author.
  • During peer review: Withdrawal requests will be evaluated by the editorial team and may be declined if the manuscript has progressed substantially through the review process or if reviewers have already invested significant effort in the evaluation.
  • After acceptance: Withdrawal is not permitted except under exceptional circumstances and is subject to approval by the Editor-in-Chief and the Editorial Board.

Withdrawal of a manuscript after acceptance for the purpose of submitting it to another journal is considered unethical publication behavior and may result in appropriate editorial actions in accordance with recognized publication ethics guidelines.

Journal of Health Service Administration and Hospital Management (LACERI) follows internationally recognized publication ethics standards to maintain integrity, transparency, and fairness throughout the editorial and publication process.
