The Relationship Between E-Purchasing Implementation, Perception of Supply Chain Management Integrity, and Procurement Price Efficiency in Regional General Hospital Dr. Muhammad Zein Painan: A Cross-Sectional Study

Procurement of goods and services in government hospitals faces constraints of price inefficiency, distribution delays, and weak supply chain transparency. E-purchasing has been widely studied in terms of cost efficiency, but research that specifically relates it to the integrity of supply chain management in local government hospitals is still limited. As a result, the relationship between the two aspects has not been empirically confirmed in this context. Purpose: This study aims to analyze the relationship between the implementation of e-purchasing with supply chain management integrity and procurement price efficiency in Dr. Muhammad Zein Painan. Methods: this cross-sectional quantitative study involved 62 respondents directly involved in hospital procurement, selected purposively. Data were collected through questionnaires to measure the perception of e-purchasing implementation and supply chain integrity, as well as procurement transaction documentation to objectively measure price efficiency. The Data were analyzed using Chi-Square test and logistic regression. Results: a total of 74.2% of respondents rated the implementation of e-purchasing as good, and 69.4% had a high perception of supply chain integrity, with an average price efficiency of 12.6%. Bivariate analysis showed a significant relationship between e-purchasing with supply chain management integrity (p=0.002; OR=3.84) and procurement price efficiency (p=0.001; OR=4.21). Implications: hospital management needs to strengthen digital procurement governance through increasing the competence of system users, periodic evaluation of suppliers, and utilization of transaction data as a basis for cost control. Conclusion: the implementation of e-purchasing has been proven to contribute significantly to improving supply chain management integrity and procurement price efficiency. These findings complement the literature gap on supply chain integrity in the digital procurement of local government hospitals, as well as being the basis for technology-based procurement policy reference.
