Peer Review Process

The peer review process for articles submitted to the Fundamental and applied research in medicine and allied sciences indonesia (FARMASI) journal in the field of pharmacy is designed to ensure the accuracy, quality, and integrity of published research. This process typically includes the following steps:

1. Initial Editorial Screening
   Upon submission, the editorial team performs an initial check to ensure the manuscript fits the journal’s scope and meets basic standards of quality, originality, and ethical compliance.
2. Assignment to Expert Reviewers
   Manuscripts passing the initial screening are assigned to at least two independent reviewers who are experts in farmasi or related disciplines. Reviewers are selected based on their expertise relevant to the manuscript’s topic.
3. Reviewer Evaluation
   Reviewers critically evaluate the manuscript on scientific validity, methodology, relevance, clarity, and contribution to the field. They assess the study design, data analysis, interpretation, and whether conclusions are supported by the data.
4. Reviewer Feedback and Recommendations
   Reviewers provide detailed comments and suggestions for improvement as well as a recommendation to accept, revise, or reject the manuscript. They also check for ethical issues such as plagiarism or conflicts of interest.
5. Author Revision
   Authors receive the reviewers’ feedback and are invited to revise the manuscript accordingly. They must provide a detailed response explaining how each comment was addressed.
6. Final Decision
   The editorial board reviews the revised manuscript and author responses. Based on reviewer recommendations and editorial judgment, the manuscript is accepted for publication, requires further revision, or is rejected.
7. Publication
   Accepted articles undergo final editing, formatting, and are then published in the journal’s scheduled issues.
