Correction and Retraction Policy for Knowledge and Environmental Science for Living and Global Health (KESLING):

Knowledge and Environmental Science for Living and Global Health (KESLING) is committed to maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the scholarly record. Corrections and retractions are handled in accordance with the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

1. Correction

• Corrections are issued when minor errors are identified in a published article, such as typographical mistakes, inaccurate data, or incorrect author names, which may mislead readers but do not alter the main conclusions of the article.
• Correction requests can be submitted by authors, readers, or editors after publication.
• Upon verification, the journal will publish an official correction linked to the original article to maintain transparency and the accuracy of the scientific record.
• The purpose of corrections is to amend the scientific record without compromising the integrity of the research.

2. Retraction

• Retraction of an article occurs when serious errors affecting the validity of the research findings are discovered, or in cases of ethical violations such as plagiarism, data fabrication, or duplicate publication.
• The retraction process follows the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and involves an investigation by the editors and, if necessary, the affiliated institutions.
• Retractions will be clearly announced and linked to the original article so that readers are fully informed of the reasons for the retraction.
• Retracted articles remain accessible with a retraction notice to ensure transparency and uphold scientific integrity.

3. Handling Procedure

• Suspected errors or ethical violations can be reported by anyone (authors, readers, reviewers).
• Editors will conduct an initial assessment and may request clarification from the authors.
• If the suspicion is confirmed, appropriate correction or retraction actions will be taken depending on the severity of the issue.
• In cases of disputes or disagreements, the journal will follow COPE guidelines to ensure a fair and transparent resolution.
