Screaning Plagiarism

Journal of Occupational Safety, Health, and Environmental Management (K3) is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity and ethical publishing. To ensure the originality and credibility of all published works, every manuscript submitted to the journal undergoes a plagiarism screening process prior to peer review and again before final publication, if necessary.

Plagiarism detection is conducted using reputable similarity-checking software such as Turnitin, iThenticate, or other equivalent tools. The journal enforces a maximum similarity index of 25%. Manuscripts with a similarity score above this threshold will not be accepted for publication.

The editorial team conducts a qualitative assessment of the similarity report rather than relying solely on the numerical percentage. Similarity originating from references, bibliographies, properly cited quotations, commonly used technical terms, and standard methodological descriptions may be excluded from consideration. However, significant overlap from a single source, unattributed copying, self-plagiarism, or redundant publication is strictly prohibited, even when the overall similarity score does not exceed the permitted limit.

If a manuscript exceeds the acceptable similarity threshold, the editors may take one or more of the following actions:

1. Return the manuscript to the authors for revision and proper citation,

2. Reject the manuscript outright in cases of severe plagiarism, or

3. Prohibit resubmission for ethical misconduct, depending on the severity of the violation.

By submitting a manuscript to this journal, authors declare that their work is original, has not been published previously, and is not under consideration elsewhere. All plagiarism-related issues are handled in accordance with the ethical principles and procedures recommended by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
