Global Exploration of Geospatial Research and Analysis for Future Innovation (GEOGRAFI) is an international peer-reviewed open access journal dedicated to publishing high-quality and impactful research across various areas of geography, geospatial science, spatial analysis, and geospatial innovation. The journal aims to provide a platform for academics, researchers, practitioners, and scholars to share innovative ideas, empirical studies, and theoretical advancements that contribute to the development of geographic knowledge, geospatial technologies, environmental understanding, and sustainable spatial planning.
GEOGRAFI welcomes manuscripts covering a broad range of geographical studies, including but not limited to:
- Physical Geography and Environmental Studies Covers geomorphology, climatology, hydrology, biogeography, landscape studies, environmental processes, ecosystem dynamics, and the impacts of environmental change on geographic systems.
- Human Geography and Regional Development Covers population geography, social and cultural geography, economic geography, political geography, regional development, human-environment interactions, and spatial patterns of human activities.
- Urban and Rural Geography Examines urbanization, rural transformation, land-use change, urban and rural planning, settlement patterns, spatial inequality, and sustainable development in urban and rural areas.
The journal welcomes research in geospatial science, geographic information systems, and spatial analytical methods, including:
- Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Spatial Analysis Covers GIS applications, spatial data management, geospatial modeling, spatial statistics, spatial decision support systems, network analysis, and advanced techniques for geographic data analysis.
- Remote Sensing and Earth Observation Focuses on satellite imagery, aerial photography, unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) applications, land-cover classification, change detection, environmental monitoring, and the application of earth observation technologies to geographic research.
- Geospatial Data Science and Modeling Examines geospatial big data, spatial machine learning, geographic modeling, geocomputation, spatial prediction, geovisualization, and innovative approaches to processing and interpreting spatial information.
GEOGRAFI also welcomes research addressing environmental challenges, disaster management, and spatial risk assessment, including:
- Environmental Mapping and Monitoring Covers environmental mapping, land-use and land-cover mapping, natural resource assessment, ecosystem monitoring, environmental degradation, and the spatial analysis of environmental change.
- Disaster Risk Assessment and Management Examines natural hazards, disaster vulnerability, risk mapping, hazard modeling, disaster preparedness, spatial resilience, and geospatial applications in disaster mitigation and emergency response.
- Climate Change and Environmental Sustainability Covers climate change impacts, environmental vulnerability, climate adaptation, sustainable resource management, ecosystem services, and spatial approaches to environmental conservation and sustainability.
The journal welcomes interdisciplinary and technology-oriented research that advances geographic methods and geospatial applications, including:
