Bulletin of Inspiring Developments and Achievements in Midwifery (BIDAN)
Welcomes and invites midwifery manuscripts with the scope:
Pregnancy
Focuses on midwifery care during pregnancy, including monitoring the health of the mother and fetus, early detection of pregnancy risks, managing physiological and psychological changes during pregnancy, and efforts to ensure the safety of both mother and baby. Pregnancy is divided into trimesters with routine check-ups such as blood pressure measurement, weight, fetal position detection, and ultrasound examinations. Minimum service standards include 10 essential antenatal visits to ensure maternal and fetal health until delivery.
Birth
Covers the labor and delivery process, including the management of the first to fourth stages of labor, proper delivery assistance techniques, and handling various complications that may arise during childbirth. The focus is also on the safety of mother and baby during delivery.
Postpartum Period
Reviews the postpartum or puerperium phase after childbirth, covering physiological and pathological changes, lactation and breastfeeding processes, breast care, perineal care, and management of common postpartum issues such as pain and infections.
Newborn and Children
Focuses on care for newborns and children, including monitoring growth and development, immunizations, and managing common health problems in infants and early childhood.
Adolescence
Includes reproductive health, psychological aspects, and physical development of adolescents, a crucial phase in shaping future health.
Family Planning
Focuses on contraceptive methods, reproductive education, and family planning to improve maternal and child health and assist couples in planning healthy pregnancies.
Climacteric
Discusses the transitional phase from reproductive age to menopause in women, including hormonal changes, related health issues, and supportive therapies that help women through this period comfortably.
Midwifery Community
Covers the development of midwifery communities, professional networks, collaboration among healthcare workers, and the role of midwives in empowering community health.
Education in Midwifery
Includes aspects of midwifery education and training, teaching methods, curriculum development, and innovations in midwifery learning to improve the quality of midwifery personnel.
Holistic and Complementary Therapy in Midwifery
Concerns the use of alternative and complementary therapies that support comprehensive midwifery care, such as massage therapy, acupuncture, or relaxation techniques to promote the well-being of mothers and babies.
Reproductive Health
Encompasses all aspects of reproductive health, including the prevention of sexually transmitted infections, reproductive health education, management of reproductive disorders, and promotion of sexual health.
This journal is an open scientific medium that facilitates scientific communication in the field of midwifery, as well as the publication of research results, reviews, and innovations related to various phases and aspects of midwifery. Its focus is on development and inspiring achievements in the field of midwifery to support improvements in the quality of services and education for midwifery personnel and the public.
