Focus and Scope

Bulletin of Inspiring Developments and Achievements in Midwifery is an open access, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to advancing scientific knowledge, research, education, and evidence-based practice in midwifery and maternal and reproductive health.

The journal welcomes original research articles, systematic and scoping reviews, literature reviews, case studies, and other scholarly contributions that address contemporary issues and innovations in midwifery practice, education, and community health.

Bulletin of Inspiring Developments and Achievements in Midwifery welcomes manuscripts within, but not limited to, the following areas:

1. Pregnancy and Antenatal Care

Research addressing antenatal care, maternal and fetal health, pregnancy complications, risk assessment, maternal well-being, and evidence-based interventions throughout pregnancy.

2. Labor and Childbirth

Research on labor and childbirth, intrapartum midwifery care, birth outcomes, physiological and complicated labor, maternal and fetal safety, and evidence-based approaches to childbirth care.

3. Postpartum and Breastfeeding Care

Research concerning postpartum and puerperium care, maternal recovery, lactation and breastfeeding, breast care, perineal care, postpartum complications, maternal well-being, and evidence-based postpartum interventions.

4. Neonatal and Child Health

Research related to newborn care, neonatal health, growth and development, preventive and promotive health interventions, immunization, and early childhood health within the scope of midwifery practice.

5. Adolescent and Reproductive Health

Research addressing adolescent reproductive health, physical and psychological development, reproductive health education, sexual health, and health promotion among adolescents.

6. Family Planning and Contraception

Research on contraceptive methods, family planning services, reproductive decision-making, counseling, and interventions to improve reproductive and maternal health outcomes.

7. Climacteric and Menopausal Health

Research addressing the transition from reproductive age to menopause, menopausal symptoms, women's health, quality of life, and evidence-based approaches to support women during the climacteric period.

8. Community Midwifery

Research on community-based midwifery services, maternal and child health promotion, community empowerment, continuity of care, interprofessional collaboration, and the role of midwives in improving population health.

9. Midwifery Education

Research addressing midwifery education, curriculum development, teaching and learning methods, simulation, clinical education, assessment, educational technology, and innovations in midwifery training.

Research covering reproductive health, sexual health, prevention of sexually transmitted infections, reproductive disorders, women's health promotion, and related health services within the scope of midwifery.

12. Midwifery Practice, Policy, and Professional Development

Research concerning midwifery practice, professional competencies, workforce development, leadership, healthcare policy, quality improvement, patient safety, and the development of midwifery services.
