Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of training effectiveness and knowledge sharing on Innovative Work Behavior (IWB), with employee competence serving as an intervening variable. In an era of global competition and digital transformation, organizations require human resources who are not only competent but also capable of generating innovative ideas that add value to the organization. Training effectiveness and a knowledge-sharing culture are considered two strategic factors capable of enhancing employee competence, thereby fostering innovative work behavior. This study employs a quantitative approach using a survey method. Data were collected via questionnaires distributed to employees and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The study is expected to demonstrate that training effectiveness and knowledge sharing have a positive impact on employee competence. Furthermore, employee competence is expected to positively influence Innovative Work Behavior and mediate the relationship between training effectiveness, knowledge sharing, and Innovative Work Behavior. The findings are expected to contribute theoretically to the field of human resource management and serve as a basis for organizations to design strategies for competence development and knowledge-sharing cultures.
