AI Use in Manuscript Preparation

Artificial Intelligence (AI) Use in Manuscript Preparation Policy

Miracle Get Journal (MGJ) recognizes the growing role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and AI-assisted technologies in academic research and manuscript preparation. The journal permits the responsible use of AI tools while maintaining the principles of research integrity, transparency, authorship, confidentiality, and accountability.

Authors, reviewers, and editors are expected to use AI tools responsibly and ensure that the use of such technologies does not compromise the quality or integrity of the scholarly publication process.

  1. Disclosure of AI Use
Authors must disclose the use of AI or AI-assisted tools in manuscript preparation when such tools have been used to generate, modify, translate, analyze, or substantially improve the manuscript. The disclosure should identify the tool used and briefly describe how it contributed to the preparation of the manuscript.
  2. Author Responsibility and Accountability
Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, integrity, and validity of their manuscript, including any content produced or modified with the assistance of AI tools. AI tools cannot assume authorship or responsibility for a published article.
  3. Verification of AI-Generated Content
Authors must carefully review and verify all AI-assisted content before submission. Any factual errors, inaccurate references, fabricated information, inappropriate interpretations, or misleading statements resulting from the use of AI remain the responsibility of the authors.
  4. Academic Integrity and Ethical Use
AI tools must not be used to fabricate or manipulate research data, results, references, images, or other scholarly materials. The use of AI must comply with applicable ethical standards, research integrity principles, copyright requirements, and intellectual property rights.
  5. AI Use in Peer Review
Reviewers must maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts. Reviewers should not upload or disclose confidential manuscript content to publicly accessible AI tools or other third-party systems. Any permitted use of AI-assisted tools must not compromise the confidentiality, integrity, or independence of the peer-review process.
  6. Human Oversight
AI-assisted technologies may support manuscript preparation, but they must not replace the authors' scholarly judgment, critical analysis, or responsibility for the research. All substantive academic decisions and interpretations must remain under appropriate human oversight.
  7. Corrections and Publication Integrity
If errors, inaccuracies, or ethical concerns arising from the use of AI are identified after publication, the journal may request clarification or correction in accordance with its publication ethics and correction policies.
