Publication Ethics:

Research in Athletics and Global Optimization (RAGO) [(e-ISSN: XXXX-XXXX)] is a peer-reviewed journal published by CV. Get Press Indonesia. The journal disseminates research findings in various fields of athletics, sports science, physical education, exercise science, human movement, sports performance, sports technology, optimization research, and related disciplines and is available online as an open access resource. This statement outlines the ethical standards and responsibilities of all parties involved in the publication process, including authors, the Editor-in-Chief, the Editorial Board, peer reviewers, and the publisher.

Journal Publication Ethics Guidelines:

1. Author Ethics

  • Honesty and Clear Reporting
Authors are required to present research information honestly, accurately, completely, and transparently. Research methods, participant characteristics, data collection procedures, statistical analyses, computational methods, and research findings should be reported accurately. Authors should maintain research data and supporting materials securely and make them available for verification when reasonably required.
  • Originality and Anti-Plagiarism
The submitted manuscript must be the authors’ original work and must not contain plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, data manipulation, or other forms of research misconduct. Authors must properly acknowledge and cite all sources used in the manuscript and must not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously.
  • Proper Acknowledgement of Authorship
Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made significant contributions to the conception, design, execution, analysis, or interpretation of the research. All listed authors must have approved the final version of the manuscript and agree to its submission and publication.
  • Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest
Authors must disclose any financial, personal, institutional, professional, or other relationships that could potentially influence the research, interpretation of findings, or publication process.
  • Research Participant and Human Subject Protection
Research involving human participants, athletes, students, patients, or other individuals must comply with applicable ethical standards and institutional requirements. Authors should obtain appropriate ethical approval or clearance where required and ensure that informed consent, privacy, confidentiality, and participant welfare are adequately protected.
  • Research Integrity in Sports and Exercise Science
Authors must accurately report research involving athletes, physical activity, exercise, sports performance, physical education, biomechanics, physiology, psychology, and human movement. Research procedures should be conducted responsibly and in accordance with applicable scientific and ethical standards.
  • Data, Statistical, and Computational Integrity
Authors must not manipulate, fabricate, selectively report, or improperly interpret research data. Statistical analyses, mathematical models, optimization methods, computational procedures, and artificial intelligence or machine learning approaches should be appropriately described and applied.
  • Use of Technology and Artificial Intelligence
Where artificial intelligence, machine learning, digital technologies, software, wearable devices, or automated analytical systems are used in research, authors should clearly describe their relevant use and ensure that the resulting research remains accurate, transparent, reproducible, and ethically conducted.
  • Correction of Errors
If an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in a published article, the author must promptly notify the editor and cooperate in correcting or, where necessary, retracting the article.

2. Editorial and Editorial Board Ethics

  • Objective and Fair Editorial Decisions
Editors should make publication decisions based on the academic quality, originality, relevance, methodological rigor, and scientific contribution of the manuscript. Editorial decisions must not discriminate against authors based on race, gender, nationality, religion, institutional affiliation, or other personal characteristics.
  • Confidentiality
Information about submitted manuscripts must be kept confidential and shared only with individuals directly involved in the editorial and peer-review process.
  • Avoiding Conflicts of Interest
Editors and Editorial Board members must disclose and manage any potential conflicts of interest. Editors should not participate in editorial decisions concerning manuscripts in which they have a personal, professional, or financial interest.
  • Handling Plagiarism and Ethical Violations
Editors are responsible for taking appropriate action when plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, data manipulation, duplicate publication, authorship disputes, unethical research involving human participants, or other forms of research and publication misconduct are suspected or identified.
  • Transparency and Publication Integrity
The journal management must maintain transparent editorial policies and procedures and ensure that publication decisions are based on academic and ethical standards rather than commercial interests.
  • Editorial Independence
Editorial decisions should remain independent of commercial, financial, institutional, or personal interests. The publisher should support the editorial team in maintaining academic independence and publication integrity.

3. Reviewer Ethics

  • Objective and Timely Assessment
Reviewers should provide objective, constructive, and timely evaluations based on the academic content, methodology, originality, relevance, and contribution of the manuscript, without regard to the identity or affiliation of the authors.
  • Confidentiality of Manuscripts
Reviewers must maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and must not disclose, reproduce, distribute, or use unpublished information from a manuscript for personal or professional advantage before publication.
  • Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest
Reviewers should disclose any actual or potential conflicts of interest and decline the review assignment if such conflicts could affect their objectivity.
  • Recognition of Relevant Sources
Reviewers should identify relevant published works that have not been appropriately cited and inform the editor when they identify substantial similarities between the submitted manuscript and other published or unpublished works.
  • Methodological and Data Assessment
Reviewers should evaluate the appropriateness of research methods, data collection, statistical analysis, experimental procedures, computational approaches, optimization methods, and interpretation of findings where relevant to the manuscript.
  • Respectful and Constructive Feedback
Reviewer comments should be professional, objective, clear, and constructive. Personal criticism of authors is not acceptable.
