Peer Review Process

1. Initial Screening

All submitted papers are initially screened by the editorial team to ensure that they are relevant to the scope of International Conference on Environmental, Mining, and Sustainable Development (ICEMSeD) and comply with the submission guidelines. The screening includes an assessment of the manuscript's completeness, originality, format, and basic academic quality.

2. Reviewer Assignment

Papers that pass the initial screening are assigned to at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise. Reviewers are selected based on their academic qualifications, research expertise, and experience relevant to the subject of the submitted paper.

3. Review Method

ICEMSeD applies a double-blind peer review system, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept confidential. Reviewers evaluate manuscripts objectively and provide constructive comments to assist authors in improving the quality of their papers.

4. Review Criteria

Reviewers assess manuscripts based on the following criteria:

  • Originality and novelty

  • Relevance to the conference scope

  • Scientific quality

  • Research methodology

  • Validity and clarity of results

  • Discussion and interpretation

  • Quality of references

  • Clarity and organization of presentation

  • Contribution to the relevant field

5. Editorial Decision

Based on the reviewers' recommendations, the editorial team makes the final decision. Possible decisions include:

  • Accept

  • Accept with Revisions

  • Reject

The final decision is made by the editorial team after considering the reviewers' evaluations and the overall quality of the manuscript.

6. Revision Process

When revisions are required, authors must revise their manuscripts according to the reviewers' comments and submit the revised version within the specified timeframe. Authors are expected to provide appropriate responses to the reviewers' comments. Revised manuscripts may be returned to the reviewers for further evaluation when necessary.

7. Confidentiality and Conflict of Interest

Reviewers must maintain the confidentiality of all information contained in the submitted manuscripts and must not use unpublished information for personal or professional advantage. Reviewers are also required to disclose any potential conflict of interest before accepting an assignment.

8. Final Acceptance and Publication

Papers that successfully meet the scientific and editorial requirements are given final acceptance and prepared for publication in the ICEMSeD Proceedings. The editorial team is responsible for ensuring that accepted papers meet the required publication standards before publication.
